The Healing Begins

I have to say this day has been one of gratitude. If you read this blog yesterday then you know I spoke of conscience and I stated,"The time has come that differences cannot or will not be resolved. We can only do what our conscience tells us and I hope we all have one."

Something started bothering me and I realized my own conscience was talking to me. I also realized I was wrong about differences and not being able to resolve them.

I had a Jericho friend and we lost our way to each other because of infighting and friction. I failed to acknowledge my role in that. I was wrong. I had to narrow my focus to see that it is possible to resolve a difference.

I have reached out to this person and I have apologized. She, being the person she is, has met me halfway. Perhaps the friendship will never be the same but maybe it can be better. I know we will be better people for it.

It's a small step but we have taken it. I can only hope others will do the same. To my fellow Ranger-you know who you are- I am saying this publicly as an effort to show you my sincerity.

I thank you for being a partner in this healing and I thank all my readers for listening.

The Jericho Game Room is a place to go to find links to different games from many different areas of the Jericho fandom. This is a Game Room to highlight games from multiple forums (CBS, JRP, RFJ, NFJ).I know that it has been a long road for Jericho fans and we all need to take a break from time to time to have fun. We need to relax and remember why we love Jericho. What better way to do that than play a few Jericho games?

I will list as many games as I can find. There will be a variety of games to choose from. There will be puzzles to do on your own and interactive games that you can play with other fans. There will be games you can participate in that only takes a matter of seconds and games that may require a few minutes. Check them out and decide which ones are for you. Then join in and have some fun because we all know what happens when it's all work an no play.

If you find a game not listed here and would like to have it included in the lists, please send me the link via PM here or email me at kestral@radiofreejericho.com and I will make sure to add it. I always try to give credit where credit is due, so if you know who is responsible for the game, let me know and I will be sure to add their name as well.

A Monster Fan Interview: Pamla777

Pamla777 is one of those Rangers who goes about doing her work for Jericho without worrying about who gts credit or does the most work. I am proud to present her interview to you.

1. What do you like best about Jericho?

***Jericho is so well written, produced, and acted, it would be so hard to
pick just one thing. Everything that goes into Jericho make it the
riveting, intense, one of a kind, wonderful show that it is. Even the music
used for each episode helps in making Jericho so terrific. Our whole family
(my husband, and I and our 5 children, ages 8-26) all watch and love the
show.***

2. Who is your favorite actor/actress and why?

***There is so much good acting on Jericho, but I think I enjoyed the
relationship between Gail (Pamela Reed) and Johnston (Gerard McRaney)
and enjoy the relationship between Stanley (Brad Beyer) and Mimi (done so
well by my fellow Long Islander, Alicia Coppola) the most. With Gail and
Johnston, it was great to see an older couple with so much chemistry (not to
mention some great lines) and Stanley and Mimi, you see so much progression
in how Mimi changes from a hard nose IRS worker to a much softer, humane
person. Alicia brings so much life to Mimi. Both love stories are great!***

3. Should people buy the DVD? Why or why not?

***Absolutely!! Not only do you get a great DVD for your personal
collection, but each sale through a place like Amazon makes a statement
about the popularity of the show. Also, if you can, be sure to help buy
copies for the troops!!***

4. What is your favorite thread on the CBS board and why?

***Can't pick just one, but I love the threads that feature the graphics and
video links that so many talented fans have created. Jericho Rangers are
some of the most talented, committed fans anywhere!!! The website itself is
one of the best I've seen anywhere and I'm thrilled that it's up for a
well-deserved Emmy.***

5. How can we attract new viewers?

***This is a grassroots campaign, so there are so many things we can each
do. Bumper stickers, t-shirts, hats, websites, the upcoming cookbook, etc.
and, especially, word of mouth. Also, make sure to email CBS after episodes
and thank them for bringing Jericho back and let them know that you are
looking forward to the start of Season 2. Be sure to contact Jericho
sponsors and thank them for sponsoring Jericho too.

What I am doing personally is keeping a Jericho bumper sticker on my car,
talking to folks wherever I have opportunity about the show and encouraging
them to watch. I've even sent email reminders to friends that the show is
going to be on. (That has bring in 2 new loyal fans and others who are
promising to watch the show.) I also write thanking CBS after episodes and
sponsors whenever I can.***

Any comments?

***Long Live Jericho!! My family and I are all looking
forward to Season 2, Season 3, Season 4 and beyond...***

A Monster Blogger Interview: Kystorms

You all know kystorms. She is a fan who works hard for Jericho. You'll find her visiting all the boards and blogging all the latest Jericho news. She's willing to help with any project and remains one of our best weapons for more seasons. I am happy to give you this interview from a truly caring Jericho Ranger.

1. You're a big Jericho fan and you're a blogger. Which came first?

I was a fan of the show first, and a blogger about 20 minutes later. I actually found out about the show way back during the first days of being announced and was instantly a fan, simply due to the story I knew Jericho could tell. After I found myself talking the ears off of anyone who would listen about the show, I decided to begin blogging it.

2. What message do you want your blog to convey?

First my blog is all about Jericho, what it means to me and what I hope to show others about it. After that, my blog is for everyone who loves Jericho, whether blogger, or fan. If there is something new being done, I want to write it up and have everyone share in it.

3. You're a representative for the Coalition of the Willing Fan Club Development. Why do you think a Fan Club is important?

I am actually no longer involved in the Fan Club effort , as I have always felt that the fan club was at CBS. I simply wanted to help make sure the fans were heard and saw being a representative for the Nuts for Jericho as a way to insure that. Since getting this request for an interview, I have come to see that I needed to be where I was always most at home as a fan of Jericho and that is CBS.

4. What would you like to see happen in Season 2?

Wow... too many possibilities! For one thing I am the biggest Stanley and Mimi fan on the planet... I love Brad Beyer and Alicia Coppola so much, and to see them each week is a joy for me. I would love to see them married with kids. After that.. I would like very much to see how the government side of the story will play out. Is this government going to be for the people and by the people, or has the war killed of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution forcing new ideals to be formulated.

5. How do you believe we can reach more new viewers?

By getting the word out on all the various efforts of the fans all across the different boards, and helping each other to bring these efforts to fruition. The more we all do to be in the public eye as a team, the better it is for Jericho and the fans. In other words, keep the fan activity in the forefront like we were doing during the save Jericho Campaign. We should not be choosing just one or two efforts to support. Charities are a great means of both helping our fellow man and helping show how awesome Jericho fans are.

6. Do you have a favorite Jericho blog/website that you visit regularly besides your own?

The site I check each day first is CBS, it is where we all began and where we should all be everyday. It is the home of Jericho, period. Other than that I love my nutty friends at Nuts For Jericho Forum and will always be with them. My favorite blog for Jericho is the Jericho Monster!

I am like every fan of Jericho regardless of their Jericho Home websites, I just want to keep seeing my show for many years to come and will help anyone to achieve that. My blog is Jericho~On~CBS.

Thank you for a fantastic interview and a great Jericho blog.

Love In Jericho

Is it true that opposites attract? It appears to be true in the match of Mimi and Stanley.

Mimi (Alicia Coppola) is from Washington DC, and works for the IRS. She graduated from Vassar and seems to come from a family with money. She came to Jericho to oversee the audit and foreclosure of the Richmond farm. Stanley (Brad Beyer) is a farmer who seems to be the all-American male. When he and Mimi meet sparks fly and not in a good way. After the blast, Mimi is stranded in Jericho so she stays at the hotel until it's closed then moves onto the Richmond farm with Stanley and Bonnie.
Mimi is the classic city girl and has been having difficulty adjusting to her new surroundings which leads to some of the most comedic moments of the show.

Stanley is devoted to his family farm and his sister, Bonnie, who is deaf. He has a big heart, as seen in his agreement to let Mimi move in. Stanley is incredibly stubborn and refuses to abandon the farm even when it seems like it's the only logical choice. Although Stanley can also be comical, Stanley's character has some definite serious moments as does Mimi's. Watching her try to talk herself into killing a chicken was a defining look into Mimi's character. It was also one of the best scenes ever.

In an article from the Orlando Sentinel the question is asked, "
Why did the Stanley-Mimi relationship catch on?"

"It was a little levity in the face of disaster, and I think that everybody likes a good love story," Coppola said. "I'm hoping that people rooted for her [Mimi] to find something in this town. She found Stanley. It was a moment of light."

"Beyer marveled at the "interesting twist" of his character getting engaged "to the IRS woman who initially came to take away my farm."

"It's more interesting because it's these two people from two different worlds," Beyer added. "They've had a chance, under the circumstances, to get to know each other in a real intimate way."

"Those are pretty dire circumstances, aren't they?"

"In any other circumstance, it might not have happened," Beyer said.
