Margie Without Edna
Hi everybody! Margie here. It's New Year's Day and I'm here alone. My sister, Edna, has deserted me. Yes, she doesn't care about me. She didn't even tell me where she was going!
It's a good thing I have all of you. Well, Mr. Hawkins did stop by with some good news. He says we may have our power back soon. That sweet wife of his sent me some cookies too.
Thinking back on 2007 has made me think of the new year ahead so I wanted to send out some wishes for 2008. Keep in mind that I never make resolutions. I don't resolve to do anything;I just do it.
Here are my wishes:
1. Edna, stay wherever you are and don't come back.
2. Stanley and Mimi: I wish you a big wedding. Invite me.
3. I wish that all of you will have the opportunity to visit Jericho in 2008. Come see my nice basement. Ladies, come for tea.
4. I wish much continued success for my friend, Amy Vernon. She's too nice to tell the truth about Edna so she writes about TV shows instead.
5. Mr. Rich Becker: I hope you get to visit my home in 2008. You seem to be a very nice man.
6. To Ms. Briarpatch: I wish you luck finding that towel you wanted.
7. For all Jericho fans all over the world: I wish you all the Nuts you can hold.
8. I would also like to wish a very happy, successful year to the person who made all this possible: Nina Tassler.
9. Cousin T.: I hope you strike it rich so you can retire. By the way, can you come look at my porch? It sags.
10. Happy New Year to all of you and your families and friends and pets. I had a dog once but she looked at Edna and ran off.
Happy New Year!!!

A Monster Fan Interview: The Jericho Bulletin
Trothaar/Teresa blogs Jericho at The Jericho Bulletin. The Bulletin was one of the first blogs I read after Jericho was cancelled.
What I like best is that Teresa is not afraid to speak her mind about any subject. For example:
"CBS should stop being so cheap and PAY for the marketing and advertising it needs to promote Jericho properly, instead of needling the fans to provide more FREE STUFF for this multi-BILLION-DOLLAR corporation."
Here's Teresa:
1. What attracted you to Jericho?
While my television tastes are quite eclectic, I have a special place in my heart for sci-fi and shows with dark themes. I think this may spawn from the fact that I grew up in the Cold War 80's. I had junior high teachers who, flat-out and frequently, told us kids that we were all going to be killed in a nuclear war and there was nothing we could do about it. Yep.
I actually missed "Jericho" when it first premiered. I saw it for the first time over Thanksgiving break in 2006. I was flipping through the On Demand and saw it. I remembered that I'd wanted to watch it, so I watched one episode. Then I watched all of them, and started watching it on Wednesday nights as well. A new fandom was born for me!
2. When did you start your blog and why?
I started it very shortly after "Jericho" was cancelled, within a couple of days. When I first started watching "Jericho," I searched the Internet for fansites and was dismayed to find very few apart from CBS. I started my blog to connect the "Jericho" fans who I knew were out there. In its early days, it consisted mostly of copy-and-paste's from the CBS boards, JerichoLives and other sources, with some commentary by me, and I linked to every Jericho fansite I came across. Pretty soon, though, there were so many fansites that I couldn't possibly link to all of them anymore. I felt that was quite an accomplishment on the part of "Jericho" fans.
3. What do you consider the main theme of the show to be and why?
Loyalty to family and friends, because if the townspeople of "Jericho" don't stick together, they'll be consumed by the violent world outside their borders.
4. How do you think we can attract new viewers?
Keep doing more of what we're all doing: blogs, fan sites, wearing tee-shirts, talking to people in real life about "Jericho."
5. Who on Jericho would you most like to meet in person?
Lennie James, because I love the Robert Hawkins character. First, there was No. 6, the Prisoner. Then, there was Fox Mulder. Then, there was Jack Bauer. Now comes Robert Hawkins.
7. Anything else you'd like to add about yourself or Jericho?
"I know there are many of you out there who’ve put me in a genetic classification of someplace between a misanthropic kook and an ungracious dope. Actually, I’m neither...."
Oh, wait a minute. I never said that. Rod Serling was the one who said that. But anyone who has read my blog knows it fits me very well, too. =)

A Monster Cast Interview: Lennie James
What can I say about the wonderfully talented Lennie James? He acts, he writes, and he sings. And, he took time for this interview for Jericho fans. Thanks, Lennie, we love you.
1. Who is Lennie James and why is he an actor?
I am the youngest son of Phyllis Mary James and I'm an actor
because a very cute girl I was keen on wanted to be an actress. I
followed her into an audition, got the gig and the rest as they say...is
the rest.
2. You are the perfect Robert Hawkins. How did you get the role?
I got the role in the conventional way...I auditioned, they
liked me for it, they offered me the gig, I said yes...
3. You are not only a talented actor, but a talented writer. Has your
role on Jericho inspired you creatively in other projects?
If I'm honest, no. I try as much as I can to keep those two
separate. I don't act as a writer and don't write as and actor. Where
they are linked, I suppose, is in how they are inspired. Both my writing
and acting are inspired by my own emotional DNA, my life experience and
the lives of others that I come into contact with. I am a big people
watcher and analyser. Actors have to be. It's our job.
4. When were you bitten by the acting bug?
It was some time after I followed the 'cute girl' into that
audition. It probably wasn't until my second year of drama school. By
that time I'd began to figure out what I was doing and began to have
real ambition. I began to realise what it was I enjoyed about acting and
how to be good at it. That is still my ambition...to be good at what I
do.
5. Do you find yourself putting any of your own personality into
Hawkins, and in what ways do you feel that the two of you are alike?
We are both the same height, although he thinks he's taller.
All actors use themselves in the creation of their characters. As I
said, all we have in reality is our own emotional DNA and history to
work with. A lot is made of actors who play characters a million miles
from who they really are. I think, in the main, that is mostly smoke and
mirrors. It's guys making what we do harder than it needs to be so they
can feel unique or special or whatever. So much of the actor’s job is
done by the writer in creating the character and placing him/her in the
particular situation in the story being told. The actor’s job is to be
true to that and not put too much in the way. I'm not saying that acting
is easy, it's not, but at it's best...when you're in the groove, it is
simple or at least it should be.
6. You and April Parker have so much chemistry on screen. What is it
like working with her?
Working with April is a good example of staying true to the
story and characters and not getting in the way. She is the most
wonderfully honest actress. There is no pretence or guff about her. We
barely discuss our scenes before hand. We just love seeing what we come up with by doing it. We know who we are to each other, what's going on
and what each of our characters want. Armed with that and someone as
great as April it's...simple and a joy and has been from day one. With
April at my side I'd tackle Chemistry and quantum physics!
7. What do you most enjoy about working on Jericho?
That what I've got with April is repeated again and again with
other cast members. That our crew is, without doubt, the best crew I've
ever worked with. That Jericho is a great place to go to work. Now I
know I'm supposed to and am expected to say that. Would I ever say the
opposite? Well probably not. But neither would I say it if it weren't
true. I'd say what I like most about Jericho is my character or living
and working in LA or Skeet’s smile. There is truth in all of these, but
above all are the people I get to work with. They rock!
8. Are you doing any writing now? Plays?
I'm always writing. I've discovered that I'm a storyteller and
that the way I tell my stories are through acting and writing. I have a
play growing in my head at the moment, but I'm writing a TV series at
the moment.
9. What's next for you? What would you like to do that you haven't done?
I'm back in London for a month or so to shoot a movie. It's a
screen adaptation of a play I did at the Royal Court in London some
years back. I play a police officer who has to return to the housing
estate (project) he grew up on to investigate the killing of a 16 year
out boy. The dead boy like the officer could have been voted 'most
likely to make it out of the estate'. He's another complicated man
fighting with himself and everyone around him. I love playing him.
I've never done a days work or played a guy that I didn't want to go
back and do it/play him better. So I like to do that...and maybe do a
role where I get to sing.
10. What would you say to someone to get them to tune into Jericho for
the first time?
I'd tell them Skeet Ulrich is in it. He is an actor’s actor, a
great leading man and a joy to work with. His friendship is another one
of the gifts I've got from Jericho.
Oh, and I'd tell a first-timer that Jericho has nothing else that like
it on TV. If that's your thing then this'll be your thing.
11. Hawkins obviously cares very deeply about his family. From a
father's point of view, what kind of thoughts and feelings do you have
about the relationships Hawkins is trying to rebuild with his children,
the fact he has to go to such great lengths to protect them, and the
things they have been exposed to as a result of his role in the
explosions?
I can't quite figure out this question let alone an answer to
it. Sorry.
Any comment you might like to make?
Only to say again a big thank you to our fans, not just saving our show,
but for rewarding us with such a high accolade.

A Monster Fan Interview: Paige
I first met Paige when she posted on the CBS board asking for people to sign the petition for The Black Donnelly's which had just been cancelled. She watched an episode of Jericho and was hooked. Here's what she has to say:
1. Are you a newcomer to the Jericho series?
Yes. I started watching Jericho online shortly after hearing about the Jericho fan campaign to bring the show back. I thought if that many people are sold on this show, it is one that I would like to check out. I watched 14 episodes online to ensure I would be caught up when the 1st season aired again this summer. I have to say that watching the show on my bigger screen is much better than online since the episode buffers every minute or so.
2. What appealed to you that got you to watch?
The pilot left me wanting more; a fictional account of something that could be very real connected with me. It brought to life how much we as a society take so much for granted. How would we survive if something like this happened? We already live in a society where a percentage of people try to make a difference and another percentage expects someone else will and should take care of them. Jericho touches on all of that. Aside from that, the writing and acting is superb. I am left guessing each week about each character; are they good, bad, confused or just trying to get through life like all of us are.
3. How do you think more new viewers might be attracted to watch?
In my opinion if you are trying to get more viewers, you air encore episodes on another affiliate cable channel during the weekend and or in different time slots during the week; or you air Jericho marathons. I personally have become a fan of several different shows once I saw them on a weekend or after another show I was already watching. Marathons are great for the weekend couch potato!
4. What about the show makes you continue to watch?
Once you fall in love with the people of Jericho you want to know how they will survive and what happens next. Jericho leaves you with just enough curiosity to keep tuning in whether it is a character or a plot twist. I just watched Friday’s episode and cried during the last 30 minutes of the show. If a show can move you to tears and then to hope, it is a show worth watching.
5. Who is your favorite character and why?
Hawkins is my favorite character; he was my favorite from the beginning. He is so interesting to me. The love he has for Darcy and the family is shadowed by the job he has to do or is running from. I just can’t figure him out! I wait week to week to see what transpires with his story.
Add a comment if you like.
I can’t believe that Jericho was even considered to be canceled. Jericho is so real on so many levels! It has heart, depth and action to say the least. I hope CBS sees Jericho as what it is; a hit show.

A Monster Fan Interview: XWarp
Xwarp was Ranger of the Week so Congratulations!
He works hard for Jericho and gave us Jeritopia. I never did chats until I went there and found out how easy it is to use.
Here's Xwarp:
1. What gave you the idea for Jeritopia?
At the time Jeritopia was set up, there was not a Jericho related chat room. Jeritopia was started to provide a common place for fans from all the forums to come to a neutral place and set aside their differences and talk about Jericho in real time as well as allow people to get to know each other on a more personal level than through a post on a message board.
2. What do you hope to accomplish in the future with Jeritopia?
To continue to promote Jericho via activities such as the themed discussions and trivia games, (a big THANK YOU! to Morgan5318 for these), and other activities created by the users of Jeritopia and to help in getting season 3.
3. I love it because it's so easy to use. What do you like best?
What I like best......that would be the enjoyment that the members of Jeritopia have for the chat room. The people that use Jeritopia have made it what it is and their continued participation in the chat makes it all worth while.
4. You went to Comic Con. What did you think about it?
This is the first Comic-con convention I have ever been to. I was pretty much intent on going strictly for Jericho. It was a BLAST! There were A LOT of people, but it was fun. It was interesting to see all the people that were dressed up in the costumes. It was cool to see the multitude of displays, Speed Racer's Mach 5 and the Batmobile for a couple.
5. Who were you happiest to meet?
I was happy to meet all the people that were able to attend Comic-con. Schumi, Thurbers, Rubberpoultry, Shaun Daily, Holyhobbits, Carol Barbee, Karim Zreik, Dan Shotz, Jon Steinberg, Matt Federman, Steve Scaia, Lennie James, Skeet Ulrich, and last but not least, Ashley Scott. It was absolutely amazing to talk to all of these guys/gals and hear from them the true gratitude to all of the fans who worked very hard to get Jericho back.
6. Are you the one responsible for the flyers that are being given away in contests?
The signed flyers that are being used was a result of what I would call perfect timing. Schumi and I were chatting around the corner from the green room where the cast and crew were prior to the Jericho panel. Lo and behold, Jon Stienberg and Dan Shotz ran into us. We had these stack of flyers and bam.......the question was asked about having a few flyers signed to use as prizes for contests. We wanted to share something with the fans that could not be there.
By the way, we have more contests coming up! :)
7. Jericho Rally Point. Did you design it? What is its' main function?
JerichoRallyPoint.com is owned by "point4zero". He set the site up shortly after the cancellation and I offered to assist in helping him with the site if he wanted. It pretty much went from there. It's main function, as are the other Jericho related forums, is to promote Jericho. JRP has a very talented staff that strives to provide another ground for people to enjoy each other and Jericho.
8. Do you have a real life? Work? Hobbies?
Believe it or not....lol....I do, albeit probably as much of one as other fans of Jericho. I work for a defense contractor. Hobbies......My quad and my guns. There are a lot of areas around the town I live in where I can ride my quad and considering that my quad is "street legal", it makes it that much easier to get on the road and go. I also enjoy target shooting with my pistol, and shooting skeet with my friends when I can. (skeet-clay pigeons, not ulrich)
9. Do you run any more websites? Like to?
Other than the day to day administration of Jericho Rally Point and running Jeritopia, I also have www.strippersthatbounce.com which is at the moment just a tribute to a comment by Lennie James and season three. As far as running anymore, LOL,....... I could not say....
10. What do you love about Jericho?
I love Jericho for the premise of the show. Strangely, the idea of how life would be after an even Jericho makes me think about how prepared I am in regards to survival and protecting my family. It also makes me wonder about how the community that I live in would react to such an event and whether or not they could come together as was done in Jericho. In addition, another aspect is the "crisis" and the coming together of the residents to build each other up to be successful, much like the "crisis" of the show being canceled and the fans coming together to get it back.
11. What should CBS be doing to promote Jericho?
I think CBS should be promoting the dvd more on t.v. than they are. I also think that CBS should be promoting the Jericho website as well. Really, advertising either of these if not both will do nothing but help the revenue/ratings for the show to go up.
12. Comments?
Being part of all this is and has been a lot of fun. I have been very fortunate in meeting a lot of really nice people. It is simply amazing what can be done through the internet. Jericho would not be back today if all the fans had not come together and shown CBS that we can make a difference in what programming we find acceptable. I personally thank everyone who has contributed to the success of showing CBS that we will be counted!

A Monster Cast Interview: Jennie Townsperson
Part II
I'm glad you all enjoyed Part I of Jennie's interview. I had some extra questions which she graciously agreed to answer. Thanks Jennie.
RubberPoultry, there's a little surprise for you in here so I hope you like it.
One last thing, Jennie. If you really want a starring role, just list the Rangers as a reference and drop a few Nuts on that executive's desk.
1. You film an episode which takes a long time then you watch it to see how it looks. Right? Do any of you actually watch Jericho when it's on TV or are you tired of it by then?
Personally I am never tired of Jericho and the story we are telling. Naturally I get tired from a long work day like anyone else but I love what I get to do on the show and to me it's like completing a piece of art to be able to see the final product in its entirety and in order since we shoot out of sequence. I don't always get to know everything in the script so it's fun to watch it when it airs - if I'm home. Otherwise it gets recorded! But most of the time we had some really fun days while we were in production where if we were working at the stages, we’d get to watch the episode during lunch that would be airing that night or that week. That was always special.
2. You said you like writing. Would you like to write a screenplay or a series one day or have you already written them?
Yes! I have two screenplays I’m writing. One is a thriller and the other is an historical fiction epic inspired by stories of my ancestors. I’ve always enjoyed writing and telling stories and at different times, I’ve had ideas for novels and screenplays. So in my downtime I enjoy exploring those story ideas. I didn’t start them thinking that I’d actually produce them but the more I work on these two stories in particular, the more I’d love to see them made into films. Maybe I will make that happen one day but for now mostly it’s one of the creative things I do for my own personal enjoyment.
3. You said you have a graphics background and you've seen RubberPoultry's work. He is amazingly gifted and has created so much for Jericho. What do you think about his fan art?
From what I’ve seen, I think his work is brilliant! I’m a huge fan! I know it’s no small task because I’ve done that kind of work myself. He’s not getting paid to do it and it comes from his heart. I wonder if people know what kind of time it can take to do graphics and videos like that. For him to donate his time to do it is a very special thing and says so much. I would love to see a version of his flag video made into a promo for CBS to air before our new season starts up. Wouldn’t that be great? I would hope they would consider him for that. He’s already done a great job promoting the show on the internet.
4. Does your family watch Jericho? Do they like it?
Yes, my family does like the show - so much that they forget to look for me! That only means that they truly love the show and find it really gripping and I couldn’t be happier for that. It means we are all doing our jobs well!
5.Will you be going back to acting classes soon? How do they help you grow?
Yes, in fact, I have recently been referred to some very renowned acting coaches. When my schedule allows, I plan on taking a class with Gary Austin. I really look forward to that. Classes always help me grow in anything I do. With acting, it is very good for me in keeping my skills and senses sharpened while continually bringing me new challenges to work with and learn from. The more I have opportunities to challenge myself as we do in classes, the better I feel I can be in the craft at work. This is always important to any serious actor. I am not here for fame - I am about being challenged, prepared, honest and hopefully entertaining and happy in what I do.

A Monster Fan Interview: Kestral
Kestral can be depended on for anything related to promoting Jericho. She has proven herself to be a Team player and she will help anyone who asks. She diggs, comments, and votes. She has great ides and follows through on them. She is one of the best assets Jericho has. Thank you, Kestral for all you do.
1. What do you like about Jericho?
There are many things I like about Jericho. In order to keep this interview from being a novel, I’ll just focus on a few things. The first thing I like about Jericho is that my whole family can watch it together. Not only do we watch it together, but we have many wonderful conversations sparked by the magnificent storyline and stellar acting. I also like Jericho because it stimulates my brain. I am so tired of mindless reality shows and other television programs that don’t challenge viewers on a higher cerebral level. It really makes you think about surviving an attack in today’s world. Am I prepared to survive or would my family be lost? Jericho makes me think about that a lot. Probably the most important thing I like about Jericho is that it speaks to so many people around the world. I never knew until I joined the campaign, just how many different people love Jericho. Jericho’s message knows no boundaries. It speaks to everyone regardless of race, gender, social class, religion, political affiliation and nationality. Every single person can find someone or something they relate to in Jericho. Jericho goes past the boundaries we as society have set for ourselves and speaks to us all on a basic human level. We all love. We all cry. We all laugh. We all fear. Jericho speaks to us all because it finds not what is different about us, but what is the same in all of us.
2. What is your favorite episode/character and why?
I cannot choose a favorite character or episode. Every single episode is so well written and acted that to choose one I feel would do an injustice to the rest of the wonderful episodes. As for the characters, while I'm partial to certain ones, I cannot say I have a favorite. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching every single character evolve throughout the storyline. I truly do feel that all of the actors to a fantastic job at making their characters believable. I know...I chickened out...but what can I say??? I love them all!!
3. If I had never watched Jericho what would you say to urge me to watch?
I would tell you that there is something for everyone in Jericho. It is exceptionally well written, and superbly acted! There is drama, romance, action, adventure, comedy (thank goodness for Mimi and the chicken!) all in one show. What’s not to love? And if you didn’t listen to me the first time, I’d tell you again and again and again. I’d find a way to mention Jericho in all of our conversations until you finally would cave in and agree to watch, even if just to “shut me up”! Once I get you to that point, my job is done. Jericho will keep you coming back for more.
4. How do you think we can attract new viewers?
There are many ways to attract new viewers. Talk about Jericho to your friends and family. Encourage them to talk to their friends and family about Jericho. Send out emails to everyone about Jericho and include the links to the CBS website and also tell them how they can view on innertube. I recently received an email back from one of my contacts that my message about Jericho had been sent down the line and people were responding that they were watching and loving it! We need to Digg and comment on Jericho articles to help keep those articles in the public eye so that when people look online for Jericho they find the good stuff right away. We need to heavily promote the DVD release coming in October. Put up flyers in your hometown. Put a sign in your front yard. Place a bumper sticker on your car. Do anything you can to let people know about Jericho and never give up. We have to keep fighting for Jericho until we have season 3 and more.
5. Is Hawkins a good guy?
Hmmmm. I am undecided on this. I am truly hoping that he is a good guy. The writers and Lennie have done such a wonderful job of keeping Hawkins true allegiance a mystery to us. I can honestly say, I don’t know if he is good or not. But I’m really hoping he is a good guy! I really have enjoyed hearing Lennie talk about Jericho and the fans. I’d hate to have to listen to him and think about how horrible his character is! Please, please be a good guy!! (fingers crossed)
6. Anything else you'd like to add about yourself or Jericho can go here.
I would like to say a very large Thank You to all of the Jericho fans that have fought and worked so hard for this show! It has not been easy and we still have a long way to go. However, we CAN do it! I have met so many wonderful people through the CBS site, Radio Free Jericho, Jericho Rally Point and through chatting at Jeritopia. I continue to amazed by all of the people I have met. I knew going into the fight for Jericho that I would meet some neat friends. I never imagined finding a group of people that so quickly came to mean a lot to me. The Jericho fans I have met are some of the most caring, dedicated, passionate, respectful, intelligent, loyal, loving people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I am proud to be a Jericho Ranger and I am humbled to be a member of the Jericho family. Thank you all!!!

A Monster Fan Interview: Briarpatch
Charlene is also known as Briarpatch. She can always be found working for Jericho and helping others. She's active on the boards and active in promoting. Charlene is an interesting person and that will come out in this interview.
1. What is it about Jericho that has made you a fan?
This particular topic has been of interest to me for many years. I have read all the post-apocryphal novels out there and that whole scenario fascinates me. When I first saw the promos with the mushroom cloud in the distance, I was hooked.
One of my interests in real life is preparedness (aka survivalism). Unfortunately, that word brings a mental picture of a militia group shooting at everything in sight from their mountain fortress. My interest is more in the area of making my family safe in case of a disaster. We are trying to become as self sufficient on our little farm as is possible to be. We have our own rainwater collection system, heat with a woodstove, and have some solar power. We are working toward getting totally off grid in the near future. After Katrina we had the opportunity for a very realistic test of our preparations and found that we fared quite well. We also found some deficiencies in our plan and have worked to tweak our plans to do better next time. We believe we would do better than most if a situation such as in Jericho were to actually happen in America.
2. Who is your favorite character and why?
Robert Hawkins intrigues me. I love spy stories and espionage, so I am most interested in the story behind how this event happened. His undercover operation involved years of his life, including a long stretch in prison. And this was necessary to gain trust and get inside an organization that was about to commit the crime of the century. What kind of man does that take? I can’t wait to see the new episodes to see how he escapes the approaching army of the rogue government.
3. If I had never watched Jericho what would you say to urge me to watch?
If you are tired of reality television and inane sitcoms, here is something totally different that might cause your brain to come out of cryonic storage. Stimulate your thought processes with something challenging and introduce your kids to intelligent TV.
4. Would you join a Jericho Fan Club? Why or why not?
I think the answer to this is …depends on what is offered. I do participate in a fan club of sorts that is for a series of books by a favorite author. This group actually schedules face-to-face meetings so this would be very different from a mostly online fan club likely for Jericho. But I might, if the Fan Club offered me something I wanted.
5. What would you like to see a Fan Club do whether you would join or not?
I have heard some terrific ideas from various fans of Jericho. Online chats with the cast sounds good to me. I think I might be more interested in chatting with the writing team myself. I would like to know where their ideas came from and their thought processes for reaching the conclusions they reached.
6. Anything else you'd like to add about yourself or Jericho can go here.
I would like to say that I have had some really wonderful experiences while participating with various groups online. The experience working with the Jericho fans to save the show has been so very inspiring. I am an old political activist and I have felt the satisfaction of actually accomplishing goals with the help of other believers. This experience of going up against a giant corporation, fighting the fight even against overwhelming odds, and then WINNING has been a major high point for me. I say, Jericho Fans ROCK and I am proud to be among them.
Have you ever thought about what you would do if Jericho was your town? Would you be prepared? What if a town like New Bern came to take what little your family had? How would you survive? What if each of us and our families were prepared? Would there be a need for others to steal from you?
Tomorrow: A special interview with Rick Cox. Don't miss it.

Jericho, Ratings, and iTunes
Did you see Jericho last night? I was happy to see it again because it felt like home. When some of the cast and crew posted messages on the CBS board during the campaign they became more real for us. As I watched last night I realized things about the characters that I had missed the first time around. For instance, I loved the scene where Jake spots Emily then she looks up and sees him. He's been gone 5 years you know. Here's Jake telling various people that he's been in the Army or playing baseball yet Emily sees right through him when he tries to tell her where he's been. You can also see she's glad when Jake tells her he has no special someone in his life. What a scene!
My other favorite scene was when Hawkins appeared. He announces that he was a cop in St. Louis. Okay, is that true? He sure seems to know more than he's saying, huh? Hawkins, I think, has many more stories to tell.
Speaking of stories, the ratings are in from zap2it for last night. These ratings do not yet count the people who taped the show and will watch within three days. Jericho did win its timeslot which means it was the most watched show at 9 p.m. Jericho had 4.47 million viewers. This is down from 11.8 million who watched the original pilot episode. Jericho was second in the 18-49 group but, as we read in AdAge, CBS' median age of viewers is 54. For more good news, bad news read this:

We'll have more numbers once the three day ratings are in.
Oh, here's something you might use to get other folks interested in the show. Get the Pilot episode free at iTunes.

I remain optimistic and will continue to interest new viewers.
