Jericho Ratings

I was very disappointed by Jericho's ratings last night until I took the time to consider some other things.

1. It's summer. People are vacationing and doing other things.

2. Jericho was pre-empted in some areas due to baseball.

3. Ghost Whisperer was not on last night which probably would have helped us.

4. The time change-from 8:00 CT to 7 CT may have confused people. The numbers were better in the next hour.

5. There appeared to be much less promotion by CBS this week.

6. There were errors on the CBS website referring to the times the episodes would be shown. People just got lost.

7. The Harry Potter movie brought people out in droves.

8.. Finally, these two episodes were totally confusing. Not a great idea, CBS.

Here's how it went:

8:00 p.m.

CBS
Jericho (R)
Viewers: 3.10 million, A18-49: 0.7/ 3

Adrianne Leon: Where Are You ?

Part 2

Yesterday's blog got some mixed reactions. Let me say that I do not know Bill personally. I suppose his email to me hit a soft spot partly because I can imagine myself having done this same thing when I was in love with Elvis many years ago. Also, Adrianne's fans are very saddened to know she has been fired and will no longer appear on Y&R. I hope more fans will sign this petition and write CBS to express your opposition to the firing.

Here's Bill with the rest of the story:

I am flying to LA from Oregon on Sept 28th and will be there around Noon on Friday. My hope is that Adrianne will know I am coming already and agree to see me. Friday night, dinner and a movie? Saturday, hanging out, shopping.seeing the sights of LA? Sunday,go to The Dodgers Game. I know she is a busy girl but if she knows in advance, maybe she can make room to see me.

Why would Adrianne like a guy like me? Well for starters, I love having fun. love to laugh, love to make people laugh. I can cook a good meal, I would treat her like the queen that she is. I believe I have a good personality, and ,yes, I am in my 30's and she is only 21. I do not think this matters. If 2 people are meant to be age doesn't matter. I would treat her with respect, make sure harm would never come her way, spend time with her as much as I could, but give her time to do things she likes also. I am a honest person, raised with good values. Always truth and honesty,no matter what.

This is my plan... Try to get the word out to Adrianne that I am flying down on Sept 28th and my flight will get into LA about 11:00,noonish. Hopefully she will hear about this through the magic of the internet and contact me via email at Billbowski@charter.net. so we can hopefully make plans for the weekend I am down there. I have been doing a little research to find out where I could find her and I assume it is in LA. People who read this,I need your support to make this happen. Please send this blog to everyone you know and send it to Adrianne also. This is no joke people. I am very serious about this. My intentions are true and good. I will simply walk away if it doesn't work out. If I see her and meet her though, roses will be in hand and maybe I can serenade her with my great (horrible actually singing voice) !! haahhaha.... Maybe I can spin a fancy poem or 2 also... What are some songs I could serenade her with? People I need help with this!!! Send me your ideas??? It will be fun!!!!

Adrianne,if you happen to read this, please know I am not a stalker or crazy man. This is not a publicity stunt. I am not trying to scare you. I am very sincere about this. I have good intentions only. All I ask is that you please give me a chance for 1 weekend. If it doesn't work, well what a great experience and we can be friends. But if there is that I million to 1 chance there a few sparks flying, then hey,how about that!!!! hee hee hee heeeeeeeee..... Well that is my story, hopefully with the help of the internet we can get the ball rolling on this and we will see what happens!!!! Take care everyone out there...Bill in Oregon
Adrianne, are you reading this?

Adrianne Leon: Meet Bill Bowski

Part 1

Adrianne Leon is an Emmy Award-nominated actress and musician. She performed three songs for the "Snow White" DVD and is the lead singer of the band Caught Crimson. She is also known for her role as Brook on TV's General Hospital from 2004 until 2006. In January 2006 she took over the role of Colleen Carlton on The Young and the Restless. She was let go in June of 2007 and the character recast. This was a very unpopular move among her fans.

There is currently a petition circulating asking CBS to return her to the role of Colleen.

Recently I received an email from Bill Bowski asking if I knew Adrianne or how to contact her. I don't. He then told me his story which I will now ask you to read. Please help if you can and maybe Adrianne will at least send him an email or autographed photo. Here's Bill:

I am a 36 year old divorced father of 1 son and 2 daughters. My son is 15, daughters 14 and 12. I work as a dispatcher at a trucking company, have for 10 years. Things I like to do: board games, card games, being outdoors, going to the Oregon Coast, playing softball, coaching basketball. TV shows I like:Curb Your Enthusiasm, Seinfeld, Y&R(Until they let Adrianne Leon go) and 24. I think I have seen every episode of Saved By the Bell 10 times at least, One Tree Hill, Iron Chef, any show on Food Network(I am secretly a good cook). Movies I like: Serendipity,The NoteBook,Anchorman,Dodgeball,Independence Day,Rat Race, any of The Vacation movies, any romantic comedy really!!

When I got divorced a year and a half ago,I moved into a 2 bedroom apt. and found the Soapnet channel one night and have been watching ever since. I always had watched One Life To Live and General Hospital faithfully through the years, well as much as I could since I work during the day. I always watched 90210 on there and then I thought I would try Y&R, hearing from a couple of friends it was pretty good. So I tried it and liked it immediately. I noticed that Brad Carlton had a daughter on the show, Colleen Carlton. The actress who played her quickly caught my eye. She was strikingly beautiful, had huge eyes that just mesmorized me. WOW!! This young lady was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. This was around the time when she struck up a relationship with Adrian Korbel. Good storyline again, really like it. Well time went on and I was hooked.

I would go work at the club during lunch and watch it then and then again at 7 pm on Soapnet. If I missed an episode I would just watch The Marathon on Soapnet that weekend. Well, I soon realized that I actually started feeling something for this young lady, and found out her name was Adrianne Leon. She sang several times on GH. Well, just recently I read on Adrianne's my space page that Y&R let her go!! I was devastated!!!! What are they thinking??? This is absurd!!!!! So,I started thinking really hard about this. I wouldn't be seeing her on TV every day anymore. I really started to grow even more feelings for her as crazy as it sounds so I decided I must meet this girl in person somehow to see for myself if she would possibly go on one date with me. Just one(well maybe 2) is all I would ask, just to have a chance to sit and talk with her,do something fun with her. I am sure she gets requests like this all the time. This is a genuine request. I am a rational, sane human being, not some nut case stalker. If she isn't interested,I will walk away. But all I ask is just for a chance.

Come back tomorrow for Part 2 when Bill will tell us his secret plan for meeting Adrianne.

Important Message: Save The Internet

Net Neutrality is against the phone and cable plan to block or degrade access to web sites.
There are only five days left before the FCC deadline for comments

Network Neutrality wants to preserve the free and open Internet.

"Put simply, Net Neutrality means no discrimination. Net Neutrality prevents Internet providers from speeding up or slowing down Web content based on its source, ownership or destination.
Net Neutrality protects the consumer's right to use any equipment, content, application or service on a non-discriminatory basis without interference from the network provider. With Net Neutrality, the network's only job is to move data — not choose which data to privilege with higher quality service.
AT&T, Verizon, Comcast and Time Warner, among others, want to be Internet gatekeepers, deciding which Web sites go fast or slow and which won't load at all."

Do you want to tax content providers to guarantee speedy delivery of data and discriminate in favor of their own search engines, Internet phone services, and streaming video — while slowing down or blocking their competitors?

"The big phone and cable companies are spending hundreds of millions of dollars lobbying Congress and the Federal Communications Commission to gut Net Neutrality, putting the future of the Internet at risk."

Don't let it happen.

The Jericho Campaign In A Nutshell

At 2 p.m. on May 16, 2007, CBS announced its 2007-2008 primetime slate. Since Jericho was not on it we knew it had been cancelled. Jericho fans immediately converged on the Jericho board at CBS to express disbelief, shock, anger, frustration, and sadness. Those emotions soon jelled into one idea: What can we do to get our show back?

For the next several weeks ideas were born. The most famous was, of course, "Nuts to CBS". Thousands of emails, letters, and phone calls bombarded CBS along with 8 million nuts. Then, June 6, 2007, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler brought a successful finish to the Save Jericho campaign with the statement that Jericho would be renewed as a 7 episode mid-season replacement on CBS.

Our campaign, though, is not over. We need more viewers to watch the summer reruns and many more to watch Season 2 this fall.

If you would like to learn more about the history of the campaign- articles, fansites, videos, merchandise, cast and crew messages to fans, Shaun OMac and BlogTalkRadio, and our ads in Variety and Hollywood Reporter, please go here.

If you need flyers, signs, viewing guides, and newer information please go here.

If you'd like to get more involved in our current campaign please go here.
