Supernatural: Sera Gamble
"US paranormal drama series Supernatural has become a cult hit since it first hit TV screens in 2005.
Sera Gamble is the supervising producer and writer on the show.
She discussed what it is like working to a TV budget, the impact of the writers' strike - and why writing horror is so much fun.
Warning: This story contains plot spoilers."
"The drama around the possible defection from Paramount of the cinematic powerhouses behind DreamWorks is headline-grabbing - but it's only a distraction from what must really be driving Sumner Redstone crazy: In tough times for media giants, Viacom and CBS are doing even worse than their peers.
And yet, even if you conceded that Redstone was right strategically, you'd have cause to wonder if he got the timing or execution wrong. (As Redstone knows better than most, the market can't only be right when you are winning.) You'd also wonder how much of a cloud episodes like the intense scrutiny of Dreamworks' future cast over Redstone's empire, perhaps overshadowing other bright spots such as the improved year Paramount is having overall."

Television History
"The biggest disaster in the history of news television.
That's the only way to describe the Katie Couric fiasco at CBS News. The network that once set the standard for news broadcasting is mired so deep in ratings hell that they are thinking of getting rid of Couric after the November elections."

"Now, it looks like Jericho’s producers at CBS Paramount are starting to realize that it may not be in their financial best interests to simply pull the rug out from under the 8 million-or-so loyal Jericho followers. They’re apparently working on a deal with cable television giant Comcast to revive the series yet again, and produce a third-season with Comcast footing a part of the bill. Comcast would then gain first-to-air rights to Jericho, before the networks at large have their opportunity to cash in. This is both out-of-the-ordinary, and quite revolutionary in what it proposes."

Monster Exclusive: Jennie and April
Since the Save Jericho campaign started last year, the JerichoMonster has had the great privilege to get to know a number of wonderful people. Two of those people who have become special friends to me are Jennie Sword ("Townsperson Jennie") and April Parker ("Darcy Hawkins). I was recently sent this exclusive picture and the accompanying note from Jennie, and I am honored to post this on JerichoMonster.

Jane,
I want to thank you for your endless support of Jericho and your kindness and generosity you've shown all of us on your awesome blog! It means the world to us all. I know April and I really enjoyed doing the interviews we did with you! Here's a photo of us at the party we had Tuesday for the finale. I do hope that we find a new way to go on with new stories we haven't told yet. Jericho and this incredible experience will always live on in the hearts of us all. I do know that much. The spirit of the fans and their voices truly mattered - each and every one. They showed the world something special. If you join and work together in solidarity with dignity, respect and perseverance people can achieve amazing things. I'm glad I could be a small part of this amazing experience with you all.
Jane, I wish you the best of luck in your pursuits and dreams!
~ Jennie
